A Russian Fairytale
Ksusha has been running away from home since the age of seven. Her mother was murdered when Ksusha was just a small child, and her father re-married several years later. Ksusha's poor relations with her step-mother resulted in arguments, fights and ultimately in Ksusha running away from home. On the streets she found other youngsters with similar backgrounds, and returned home less and less. Her father and step-mother started their own family and tensions only increased. On the streets Ksusha has experienced violence, abuse and has become addicted to substances, but still prefers it to life at home.
